Welcome to Lewiston High School Athletics.  Lewiston High School has a wide range of athletic activities with 21 different programs and 42 teams.   It is the school's hope that there is something for everyone to be involved in.  Participation in athletics/extra-curricular activities is open to all students at Lewiston High School provided they meet the requirements pertaining to academic standards (eligibility), try-out standards/requirements, and behavior expectations set forth by the school and its' coaching staff..

Lewiston High School is a member of the Maine Principals' Association (MPA) and the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference (KVAC)--- one of the largest leagues in the state.

The Franklin Athletic Complex, home to many of Lewiston High School's athletic teams, is one of the finest facilities in our state. The City of Lewiston and Lewiston High School have hosted many league, regional and state championship events at this complex.  Presently, the Franklin Athletic Complex is undergoing a major renovation which should only improve the experience for all of our athletes.

A. SUMMER ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES:   Most Summer HS Athletics Start on June 18th

For a full list of activities & schedules offered to students in Grade 9 - 12 at Lewiston HS, please see the tab above labeled 

Summer Cross Country:   Will have summer runs on Tuesdays & Thursday form 5 - 6:15 starting the week of June 24th

1. Lewiston Conditioning Clinic:   Lewiston HS Athletics will offer the annual Lewiston Conditioning Clinic.  Works will be held Monday - Thursday from June 25th - July 27th.   This Conditioning Clinic is free to all athletes at Lewiston High School.   
There are two sessions:  6:30 am - 7:15 am & 7:15 am - 8:00 am.   

2. Lewiston HS Fitness Center:   The Lewiston HS Fitness Center will also be open from 6:30 - 8:30 am each morning as part of the Lewiston Conditioning Clinic.   There are also afternoon hours from 4-6 pm coordinated & supervised by the Lewiston Football Staff.

B. FALL SPORTS:   START on Monday, Aug. 13th - Schedules to be posted as soon as they are completed

IN ORDER TO START A FALL SPORT:  Individuals interested in a Fall Sports must do the following in order to start on AUG. 13th:
                                    A.  Must be eligible 
                                    B.  Must turn in to the Head Coach a signed Parent Permission Form - Available starting July 30th
                                    C.  Must turn in a complete Medical Card
Important Announcements:

1. New Pre-Participation Medical Form:   The Lewiston Athletic Department is now using a standard Pre-Participation Medical form for all physicals.   We are asking that all parents & families use this form.   Parents are asked to take this form to your physician for the required yearly pre-participation physical for athletic clearance.  Once the back of this form is signed by a physician, please return it to the athletic department or your Head Coach.  

2. 2017-2018 Eligibility Information:  In order to participate in a FALL SPORT, student-athletes must pass the required number of classes in the 4th quarter & summer school.   Sophomores must have passed 5 courses, Juniors & Seniors must have passed 6 courses.   All incoming Freshman are eligible to start the Fall season.

Students also must have earned the necessary number of credits & be on track to graduate.   Sophomores must have 5 credits, Juniors must have 10 credits and Seniors must have 16 credits.

Notable Accomplishments & Congratulations:
CONGRATULATIONS to Girls Tennis ... 2018 KVAC Champions & 2018 Class A North Champions.  The Devils will compete in the Class A State Championship on Saturday, June 9th at Lewiston HS at 4:15 pm!

CONGRATULATIONS to Girls Lacrosse .... your 2018 KVAC Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS to the Boys Hockey Team ... the 2018 Class A Boys Ice Hockey STATE CHAMPIONS!   On Saturday, March 10th, the Blue Devils knocked off Biddeford by a score of 2-1 to win their 3rd consecutive State Championship.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Competition Cheering Squad for their outstanding season .... they won the KVAC Championship and the finished as the Northern Maine and State Runner-Up for the 2018 season.  

CONGRATULATIONS to the Boys Soccer Team ... the 2017 Class A Boys Soccer STATE CHAMPIONS!   On Saturday, Nov. 4th, the Boys Soccer team defeated the Portland Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 in overtime to win the Class A State Championship.    This is the team's 2nd State Championship in 3 years.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Boys Soccer Team .... the 2017 Class A Northern Maine Champions!   On Wed, Nov 1st, the Devils defeated the Bangor Rams by a score of 2-1 to advance to the Class A State Championship.

Congratulations to Coach Mike McGraw who was just named by the United Soccer Coaches Associaton the 2017 State of Maine and the Northeast Regional Coach of the Year!!!!!!!
